Legos were invented by a guy in Denmark in the 1930s and continue to delight children–and adults– everywhere. Today at the Kennedy Center, we got to play with Legos and experience a lot of other interactive exhibits about Denmark and neighboring Nordic countries: Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Greenland, The Faroe Islands and The Åland Islands. It was especially meaningful since Christy and Jadon share a Norwegian heritage; and we carry on a bit of tradition by making krumkake during holidays and making comments like uffda!.
