What a Good Day

On a good day, enjoy yourself; On a bad day, examine your conscience. God arranges for both kinds of days so that we won't take anything for granted. Ecclesiastes 7:14 (The Message)

Today was just one of those days where we sighed contentedly and said, "What a good day." I guess in our book, a good day consists of soaking in some thoughts from the Bible, stocking up on groceries at Trader Joe's (including a purchase of daffodils–a first taste of spring), taking uninterrupted afternoon naps, and spending the early evening with good friends in Del Ray, including Jadon's buddy, Elliott, whom he played peek-a-boo with. Jadon had his very first taste of frozen custard at The Dairy Godmother, where President Obama has been known to hang out. Jonathan took us by Grape + Bean Rosemont, a new favorite cafe of his that sells outstanding Counter Culture Coffee. And before bedtime, Jadon entertained us with numerous affections for his life-sized bear. Yes, what a good day.
