On May 31, Hannah and Nathan said "I do" and are now happily making their abode together in Boston. Jonathan's parents provided a delicious rehearsal dinner celebration. Christy got to help with a few decorations themed with origami, literature, and Guatemalan themes.
Wedding day highlights included a simple, beautiful Christ-centric ceremony followed by an afternoon of fun (including a scavenger hunt, stacks of enormous lego blocks, tinker toys, and a pompom-making station). Later, at the lovely sit-down dinner guests were invited to come up to the mic and share a couplet...at which time, the couple would kiss. Simon, one of the groomsman visiting all the way for the U.K. came up with a couplet in the Elvin language–a most impressive way to spur on a kiss. Heartfelt speeches, by Jonathan and the other bridal attendants, gave all the guests a wonderful picture of both Hannah and Nathan's godly, humble character. They certainly make a great couple!
Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away.
